The Women Democrats have started the candidate endorsement process.  Now is the time to request space on our calendar of member meetings.

 

The 2026 California Primary election will be held on June 2,  2026 and the General election will be on November 3, 2026.

For local candidates interested in being considered for an endorsement by the Women Dems, please email Brenda Borge, Political Affairs Director, to receive the Candidate Endorsement questionnaire. Once the completed questionnaire is submitted, candidates will be scheduled for an interview with the Endorsements Committee. The Endorsements Committee will send their recommendations to the Executive Board for its final approval of all endorsements requested.

If approved by the Board, the full membership will have an opportunity to vote at the next General Membership meeting to review and approve or not the endorsements or friendly endorsements requested. Endorsed candidates may expect substantial support from Women Dems’ members and all members will be notified of campaign events and activities for approved endorsed candidates.

We also encourage candidates to email us if they are interested in speaking to and/or answering questions at a General Membership meeting held in Sacramento (January and February meetings are booked).

 

2026 Membership meeting dates: Jan. 26, Feb. 16, Mar. 16, Apr. 20, May 18, June 15, July 20, Aug. 17, Sept. 21, Oct. 19, Nov. 16.
