We wish each of you and your families good health and prosperity throughout the year and we thank you for your continued dedication and support of the mission of the Women Democrats of Sacramento County (WDSC). Now, more than ever, it is critical that we remain steadfast and true to our mission to redefine the role of women in politics and advocating for equity, justice, and economic advancement for women and underrepresented groups.

Membership Dues

Starting this year, there has been a change in our bylaws where annual dues will be collected in January. You can find this change in Article III: Membership and Voting Rights, under section 6: Membership Dues.

Dues remain at the same rate for 2026: $35 for General Members; $30 for Seniors and $25 for Students. For a hardship waiver, please contact our Membership Director, Sue Litsey.

There are several ways to join or renew with WDSC and pay your membership dues. Please also consider setting up a monthly donation, which will be specifically earmarked for our endorsed candidates.

Write a check made payable to Women Democrats of Sacramento County and mail it to:

Pay your dues in person at our upcoming General meeting on Monday, January 26.

Individuals who paid their membership dues between October 1 and December 31, 2025 (4th quarter) do not need to pay dues again, as your membership has been extended automatically through 2026 and your dues are considered paid.

Your dues help cover our basic operational expenses and to elect local and state democratic candidates. As a dues-paying member, you will receive all club correspondence and have voting rights after the four week start-up period to vote on motions presented during membership meetings, bi-annual elections for the WDSC Executive Board, and the adoptions/amendment or repeal of the Bylaws.

We encourage our members to be active in WDSC: Consider joining the Executive Board through elections or when a position opens up, volunteering on a WDSC committee, or volunteering to help for a special event or other special project.

WDSC Committees

We highly encourage you to join one of our committees for an expanded experience, involvement and participation with our membership and the community. We have opportunities for volunteers on the following committees: Membership, Political Affairs, Fundraising, Volunteer, Event Planning, Newsletter, Communications, and Nominating. You are needed!
